Tinui School Block 1 Modernisation

2015 5YA Project

IR Build were engaged to undertake the Design and Management roles for the project. 

Block 1 is a two classroom "Avalon Block" that houses the senior classes and admin. The project was focused on the upgrade of the two teaching spaces to provide a new innovative learning environment to support the teachers and students deliver their programs in warm, sound and attractive spaces.

The scope of work included:

• Repitching of the lean to roofs on the block 
• New aluminium joinery both internal and external 
• Complete internal strip out
• New in wall and ceiling services and insulation
• New acoustic linings and trim
• new classroom joinery
• New floor coverings and pinboard
• New services fittings
• Creation of a new common shared space between the two classrooms

The Contract was awarded to MB Brown Ltd and the works were undertaken over the middle two terms of 2015. The project was completed within budget and on time.

The school are very happy with their new classrooms and are looking forward to a similar project in the next 5YA to undertake an upgrade in the junior school
